  • Tony Gomillion

    Senior Pastor

    Tony received both his commission as a military officer and his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy in 1993. After six years of service, he separated from the Air Force to pursue his pastoral calling in local church ministry. Tony was awarded a Master of Theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2004, served at Redeemer Bible Church of Dallas for nine years, and joined our staff in 2010. He and his wife, Melissa, have three children: Sarah, Nathan, and Bethany.


    Tony’s overarching ministry goal is to instill in others the desire and skills to know the Triune God as He is and make Him known – within their families and to the ends of the earth.

  • Rodney Hawkins

    Associate/Discipleship Pastor

    Rodney earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University (1997) in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and, he completed his Masters of Divinity at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (2005) in Fort Worth, Texas. He has served on our staff since 2006, first as Youth Pastor and now as Discipleship Pastor. He has previously served churches in Alabama and Texas. He is married to Jennifer, and they have two sons, Lucas and Landon.

    Rodney's goal in ministry is to help the Church to know and to make known Jesus Christ through worship, discipleship, and missions.

  • Aaron Long

    Pastor of Student Ministry

    Aaron earned his Bachelor of Science and Communication Arts from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma (2003). While in Oklahoma, he began a career with the Chickasaw Nation, working for ten years in museum exhibit development and later in book publishing. At 33 he received his call to ministry and is currently working on completing a Masters of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He served as Senior Pastor at Rollingview Baptist Church in Durham, North Carolina for nearly two years before answering God’s call to serve on our staff in 2016. He and his wife, Jannason, have four children: Andrew, Wyatt, Audrey, and Arabella.

    Aaron’s calling in ministry is to make disciples of Jesus Christ, who make disciples in joyful obedience to The Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).

  • Andrew Maddox

    Pastor of Children's Ministry

    Andrew is currently working towards the completion of his Bachelor’s degree in Bible, through an online university. He accepted the calling to the ministry in the fall of 2008. Several years later in the summer of 2013, he was ordained to ministry while serving for three years on staff as the children’s pastor at Centennial Baptist Church in Caldwell, Idaho. In 2016, he served as a high school Bible teacher at Woodland Baptist Christian School in Winston Salem, North Carolina. In June of 2017 he accepted the call to serve on our staff. He and his wife Summer have one son, Judah.

    Andrew’s heart for ministry is to lift high the name of Jesus so that others may know him!

  • Alex Abernathy

    Director of Music Ministry

    Alex received his Bachelor of Science in Church Vocations (music emphasis) from Martin Methodist College in 2010. While there, he served as an elementary camp counselor at Camp Cedar Crest, interim choir conductor at First United Methodist Church in Pulaski, and children's ministry intern at Riverside United Methodist in Columbia, TN. He has been serving with First Baptist Pulaski since 2011. He is married to Samantha. He has the desire to proclaim the love of God, the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit through the joyous sound of music.

    Alex's main ministry goal is to use God's gifts to create a grace-filled worship environment where people can gather and exalt the risen Lord, while immersed in music and the Word.
